What I do - First I upgrade you to 4.3U (being that it's best for doing this now) When I'm done with your Wii you will be able to do multiple things Play Wii games from a backup on an external hard drive! How to backup your games is easy, open the "USB Loader" channel with your external drive plugged in, insert the desired game, and select "Install". VOILA! Game backup! Play Dvd's on your wii! (the Wii is not originally intended to play DVD's but this little mod I do makes it possible! pretty cool if I say so myself. Play games from Emulators! (an emulator is a program that emulates a certain program, in this case it emulates other gaming consoles, so you can play nintendo games, gameboy games, N64 games, etc!) And so much more!! The whole process (including cloning the current 101 games) is about 5-7 hours, depending on what type of external drive you have). After the mod!! How to Play games from the external drive!!! 1 - Turn on the Wii 2 - Make sure the External Drive is plugged into the back of the wii. if your wii is standing up and you are looking from the back then plug the external into the far right usb. 3 - After the external is plugged in select "USB Loader GX" channel. 4 - Pick a game to play! VOILA!! 5 - if you want to install a game then put a disc in (after USB loader is running) 6 - A menu will pop-up, choose "Install" 7 - wait a few moments, (the wii is calculating the size of the game) 8 - it will ask if the size of the game is ok, choose "OK", and it will install! 9 - After the game is done installing choose "OK" 10 - Press "1" on the wiimote and choose all three options until all the images are loaded. Voila!!! Uninstalling games from your Hard Drive Using the Wii Console 1) Open USB Loader GX 2) Go to "Settings" on the bottom left of the screen (It's the Image of the Gear(s)) 3) Select "Game Load" 4) On the bottom change Quick Boot to "No" 5) Select "Back" 6) Select "Back" 7) Scroll through the games until you get to the game you want to remove and select it 8) A menu should pop-up with a spinning disc, Select "Settings" 9) Select "Uninstall Menu" 10) then select "Uninstall Game" Voila, game is uninstalled. enjoy!!! Getting Wii Sports Resort to play after a mod!! Problem: After loading USB Loader GX and selecting Wii Sports Resort the wii goes to the black screen then back to the Wii mainscreen. Solution: 1) Open USB Loader GX 2) Go to "Settings" on the bottom left of the screen (It's the Image of the Gear(s)) 3) Select "Game Load" 4) On the bottom change Quick Boot to "No" 5) Select "Back" 6) Select "Back" 7) Scroll through the games until you get to "Wii Sports Resort" and select it 8) A menu should pop-up with a spinning disc, Select "Settings" 9) Select "Game Load" 10) on Alternate DOL click on "default" and change it to "Select a DOL" 11) Scroll down a little bit, now select "Selected DOL" under "Alternate DOL" 12) Choose "Pick From a list" 13) Select "674 player.dol" 14) Click "Back" 15) Click "Save" 16) Click Back, Back, then click the spinning disc. 17) a Video tutorial is going to play for about 3 minutes, you'll hear the audio crap out occasionally, the tutorial is retarded, but it has to be played to play the game. 18) now go back into the USB loader menu, and then into the game settings (steps 7-9) and change the "Alternate DOL" back to "default" (step 10). 19) if you want the game to automatically load upon clicking the game then do steps 1-4 only instead of selecting "No" select "yes". I hope this helps everyone out, all the tutorials I have found online are retarded and complex, you have to extract the iso from the drive, then use special tools to get into the game disc iso to extract the player.dol file then load it to the sd card and then play from sd and it was just retarded!! this is MUCH easier. Updating USB Loader GX! yes, you WANT to update USB Loader GX!! 1) Open USB Loader GX 2) select the "Gears" image for Options 3) press the "+" button on your wiimote (or just click the arrow) to go right -> 4) Select "Update" 5) If there are updates then install the updates. enjoy! Well, as many of you have probably found out, Monster Hunter Tri (MHT) doesn't seem to want to play on the modded wii! well!! here is the step by step guide on getting it to play on USB_Loader! 1 - Turn the Wii on and go into USB_Loader GX (if you haven't already) 2 - Install MHT onto your wii using the method described in the tutorial "After The Mod" 3 - After this is completed then go to the settings icon on the bottom left (of usb loader) 4 - Select "Game Load" 5 - scroll to the bottom ensure the settings are as follows "Quick Boot" - "NO" "Error 002 Fix" - "YES" "Install Partitions" - "All Partitions" "Install 1:1 copy" - "Yes" 6 - now that your settings are the above mentioned press "Back" then "Back" again 7 - Scroll over to find MHT then press "A" to select it 8 - choose "Settings" then "Game Load" 9 - option number 5 "IOS" should be set to "IOS 223" but ONLY for this game! 10 - then select "Save" 11 - no go play your game!! ENJOY! Playing DVD's Using the Wii!! Ok! So after your wii is modded you want to play dvd's. Well, the best way to do so is through a homebrew app called "Mplayer". 1) Turn wii on 2) Open "Homebrew Channel" 3) Press the + button on your wiimote to scroll right until you find it 4) Open it, (then choose open) and choose where the videos are being played from...that's it. enjoy! If you don't have it on there then continue on (note..this requires internet access on wii) 5) open the "Homebrew browser" app within the "Homebrew Channel" 6) go to "Media" 7) install Mplayer. all done! If you don't have internet access on wii or don't have "Homebrew browser" readon 8) go to the "Links" section if this page and follow the link for "Wii Homebrew" 9) look for the "Mplayer" app as well a the "Homebrew Browser" app. Download them to your desktop (So they are easy to find) 10) after that is done then copy them on to your SD card under the "Apps" folder. Voila! all done!! This will tell you how to update your wii to 4.3 firmware. Pretty straight forward on this...just follow EXACTLY what I say here and you'll be good to go. Download this file. "Pimp My Wii" extract the contents of the "Pimp_my_wii_.zip_2.02" to the "Apps" folder on the Wii SD Card (if you already have this then elete the one you have and put this one on instead as this is the latest version) Make sure the folder name is "pimp_my_wii" and the ONLY contents inside of this folder are the 3 objects (boot.dol, icon.png, and meta.xml). Put the sd card back into the wii and power it on. Open the "Homebrew" channel From the main wii menu Browse to the right until you find the "Pimp My Wii" app. Press "A" on the app to open it. Then Select "Load" Select the First option "Pass the test and fix problems" (This REQUIRES internet to be setup on your wii...wireless works just fine) Wait until it tests the files then press "A" to initialise the network. (you may have to do it twise because your wiimote may have turned off during the test) After it finds your IP then press "A" again. if it didn't find your IP then go connect your wii to your wireless network and do this again. After pressing "A" you will reach a Diagnostic part of the menu...just press "A" until you reach "Press 'A' to list titles to install" This will show you everything to be installed on your wii...just press "A" until you are at the end of this list and then "A" once more to begin install. After it's completed the install press "A" and then fully power down your wii with the power button, remove the power cable for 10 seconds, then power it back on and do this on final time to get the remaining updates. ENJOY!!! (Do this once a month to get the latest updates for your wii files). Enjoy! Adding and Removing games in Wiiflow is fairly simple. Just do the following exactly. With your wii turned on and WiiFlow loaded do the following (if you are a recent customer then you are on wiiflow, if you see a "Fan" of games then you are using USBLoader GX. Installing games: Insert the game into the wii Aim your Wiimote at the Tv and aim at the bottom of the screen. A menu should appear, select the "Gears" icon Press the "+" button on your wiimote once. Select the "Install" option. If you already have the disc inserted then select "Go" and if the game doesn't exist it will install. Uninstalling Games: Select the game you wish to uninstall. On the right side of the screen you will see a red "X". Select this Red "X" and then select "Go" it will uninstall the game for you now. enjoy! To change the Default boot option back to the Wii menu you simply do the following. 1 - Power on the wii and hold the "Reset" button after pressing the power button. 2 - a black or white screen should pop up with some text options. 3 - choose the "Settings" option 4 - change "Autoboot:" to "System Menu" 5 - click "Save Settings" 6 - power off your wii and power it back on. 7 - you should now be back at the default wii menu.
